PANEL INSTALLATION
WITH MECHANICAL CLIPS
  1. When there is a reasonable quantity of panels of the same size, TECHNI-SILENCE will supply a cardboard template to assist the installer in lining up the panels.

  2. When panels are of various sizes the installer must take the exact location of the clip in the back of the panel and transpose the same measurements to the wall.

  3. TECHNI-SILENCE recommends the installer use a "dab" of construction glue on the back of the panel. This will keep the panel in place in the event that the panel is hit in an upward position. The small "dab" of glue will still allow
the removal of the panel if need be or, the installer can drive a finishing nail right at the top of the panel. This will not be apparent and will also keep the
    panel in place.

Techni-Silence Clip system Mounting Panel to wall using clips

WITH VELCRO

  1. TECHNI-SILENCE will supply panels with the loop of the Velcro secured to the back of the panel.

  2. The installer should take exact location of the Velcro on the back of the panel and transpose the same measures to the wall, these measures can be approximate as with Velcro installations there is always some play when adjusting the panel to the wall.

  3. Once the wall is marked simply apply contact cement to the hook part of the Velcro and to the wall then wait for contact glue to be ready and apply to the wall surface. TECHNI-SILENCE does not recommend using Velcro for ceiling installations.

WITH ADHESIVE CONSTRUCTION GLUE

  1. The installer will apply adhesive to back of panel. The adhesive can be applied with a caulking gun.

  2. The Adhesive should be applied in a zig zag fashion along the perimeter of the panel so that there is glue on both the wrap around part of the fabric and the fiber glass. A few "dabs" should also be applied all over the back of the panel.

  3. The installer can either install two small L brackets at the bottom of the panel or drive a few finishing nails half way through the panel (a second nail should be used to drive in the first.) By scratching the fabric with the tip of a nail, all traces of the nail will disappear. These two methods will help support the panel until the adhesive dries. Make sure nails are clean.
